Benign Prostate Hyperplasia (BPH) is a common, treatable condition.
As long as your prostate is healthy, it often goes unnoticed. However, with age, it can become enlarged, significantly affecting your overall quality of life. This condition is known as Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia, or BPH.
BPH is unrelated to prostate cancer, and while it isn’t life-threatening, it should be treated before it causes more significant symptoms. The Urologic Institute offers a few treatment options for BPH.
Prioritize your prostate health!
Depending on your unique needs, our specialists will recommend one of the options below.
Green light laser – An outpatient procedure that uses laser technology to remove your overgrown prostate tissue.
Rezum – A minimally invasive treatment option that uses water vapor (steam) that is injected into the prostate through a cystoscope needle.
UroLift® – A minimally invasive treatment that uses small implants to lift and hold the enlarged prostate tissue back, so it no longer blocks the urethra.
Aquablation – Aquablation is an advanced, minimally invasive surgical procedure that harnesses the power of water to precisely and safely remove excess prostate tissue.
TURP – TURP is a minimally invasive procedure that involves the removal of excess prostate tissue that’s obstructing the urethra, causing urinary problems.
